Hi! I am Karen Thompson, a child of God, of Miami-Dade County, Florida, born and reared. I am Married and have one biological son (35) and a stepson (36). I have 07 grandchildren. I am currently a Substitue Teacher and Persuing my Master's in Education with a Specialization in School Counseling. I am currently in my last eight (8) week course, and will do two weeks of Winter Intensives December 28, 2009 and January 4, 2010. I will then begin my Internship, hoping to be finish with my Master's Program. Bo-oy am I looking forward to finishing! I will then began a Reading Endorsement course that I may teach Reading to high school students, in the event that a School Counselor position is not open. However, I am believing God to give the increase.
One of the reason I began a Master's Program, is to have in my legacy, for my grandchildren, that if grandma can complete college, at middle age, then so can they. Therefore, my legacy would be one of Salvation and a born again life style in Christ, Jesus, my Lord, a heterosexual marriage, and education.
